What does it means to be a humanist?
Humanists stand for the building of a more humane, just, compassionate, society using a pragmatic ethics-based outlook and practice of human reason, experience, and reliable knowledge.
In this class, we will discuss the current statistics of ethical and legal violations involving massage therapists to learn how to navigate through the grey areas within our profession. We will also learn how to apply the four main principles of ethics: autonomy, beneficence, justice, and non-maleficence in our massage therapy offices on a daily basis.
You will come away from this class with updated applications of the four main principles of ethics and how they pertain to today's social issues.
This is a dynamic class loaded with updated information and valuable applicable content from a humanist perspective.
This class satisfies WA's 4-hour ethics requirement.
